If
the
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
indicator appears
The tire pressure indicator
in
the
instrument
cluster informs you
if
the tire pressure is too low
or
if
there is a
system
malfunction.
Using
the
ABS
sensors, t he
tire
pressure moni
tor
-
ing
sys
tem compares
the
tire
tread circumfer-
ence and vibration char
ac
teristics
of
t
he
individu-
al t ires.
If
the pressure changes in one
or
more
tires,
this
is indicated
in
the
Infotainment
system
display
wit
h
an
indicator
light
RI
and a message.
If
only one t ire
is
affected,
the
location
of
that
tire
will
be indicated.
The
tire
pressures
must
be stored in
the
Infotain-
ment
system
aga
in
eac
h
time
the
pressur
es
change (switching between
partial
and
fu
ll
load
pressure) or
after
changing or replacing a t ire on
your

tire
pressure in one or more tires
is

structural
damage.

it

about
one
minute
and then stays on permanent-
ly, there
is
a system
malfunct

store
the

If
the indica-
tor
light
does
turn
off
or
tur
ns on again
after
a
sho
rt
pe
riod
of
time
, drive to
an au
thorized Audi
dealer or
au
thorized Audi Service F

ili
ty
immedi-
ately
to
have
the
malfunction corrected.

If
the
tire
pressure indicator appears in
the
displ
ay,
reduce
your
speed immediately and
avoid any hard steering or braking maneu-
vers.
Stop
as
soon
as
possible and check the
tires and
their
pressure.
- The driver is responsible
for
maintaining
the
correct
tire
pressures.
You
must
check
the
tire
pressures regularly.
- Under certain condit ions (such
as
a sporty
driving style, wi
nter
conditions
or
unpaved
roads), the pressure
monito
r indicat or may
be delayed.

Do
not
use
r
un-flat
tires on your vehicle.
Us-
ing
them
when
not
pe
rmi
tted
can
lead
to
vehicle damage or accidents.
