Main Unit Installation
Required Tools and Materials
The following tools are required to complete the installation but are not included in the package:
l
At least one modular camera imager and an HD BNC cable. For more information, see Modular
Camera System Setup on page14.
l
Small slotted screwdriver with 5/64” or 2 mm blade width — for connecting power when not using
Power over Ethernet
l
No. 2 Phillips screwdriver — for attaching camera to a mounting surface
Main Unit Package Contents
Ensure the surface mounted camera package contains the following:
l
Avigilon H5A ,Modular camera main unit
l
Base Mounting Template sticker
l
Power and I/O terminal block
l
4x screws and anchors — for securing the unit to the mounting surface.
The optional DINrail mounting accessory, BRKTMD-1001, can also be ordered separately.
Mounting on a Flat Surface or Table
If the modular camera main unit is installed in a secure location where it would not be bumped or jostled, you
can place the unit on a flat shelf or tabletop. Make sure to install the main unit in a location where the unit and
connected cables will be secure and undisturbed.
1. The unit is shipped with the mounting feet in the tabletop mounting position.
If the mounting feet are not oriented as shown below, remove the four screws and re-install the
mounting feet in the correct orientation. For more information, see Changing the Mounting Feet
Position on the next page.
