2. Protocol C: Cleaning one part of a ReadA at a time; if there is insufficient incubator
capacity (CO

or both), a lab may choose to clean only one part of a ReadA at a time.
Cleaning a ReadA using this method involves cleaning the left, right, and door sections
sequentially (usually on different days) by transferring plates from the section to be
cleaned to a section that will be cleaned or has already been cleaned.
The following table presents the advantages and disadvantages of each cleaning strategy:

5.3.1 Protocol A: Cleaning all racks with automated unloading
1. Disable the ReadA input on the day prior to cleaning by selecting Tools [F7] > Disable
ProceedA Input for the specific ReadA to be cleaned.
2. Continue to step 7 if the ReadA is already completely empty.
3. Select Tools [F7] > Force empty container store (cleaning).
4. Select OK to confirm this action. All plates will be automatically removed from the ReadA
and sent to the cleaning Stacker.
5. Wait for all the plates to be removed. It can take up to three hours before a ReadA is
completely empty.
6. Select Stop [F4].
7. Move any plates remaining in the cleaning Stacker onto the plate cart, following these
steps in the Track GUI:

Select the desired Stacker element from the Status view.

Select the cleaning Stacker.
l
Select Push.
WARNING
DO NOT REMOVE PLATES DIRECTLY FROM THE STACKER. WAIT
UNTIL THE STACK HAS BEEN PUSHED ONTO THE PLATE CART.
