5. Place the rack in the correct position. Make sure the flat side is on top.
CAUTION
Rack positions are not interchangeable. Placing the racks in
incorrect positions can cause plate placement errors resulting in
crushed plates.
6. Push the incubator door guard back to its original position and close the door.
7. If applicable, turn on the CO
2
supply.
8. Select Lock Door [F8].
9. To make the rack available again select Tools [F7] > Rack reservation & removal.
10. Expand the remote access window toolbar and tap the mouse tool until the right mouse
click is highlighted . See Remote access window for more information regarding the
toolbar.
11. Select the rack you want to make available again, select Set state of Rack, and change
the status of the desired rack to Available.
12. Select Apply changes to save the new status.
13. Select Start [F2] to start the application and continue ReadA operation.
5.4 Cleaning and maintaining BDKiestra™ ReadA components
This section contains information on how to properly clean and maintain specific ReadA
components, in order to keep the module in good working condition.
See 10Cleaning table for more details on recommended frequency of cleaning and cleaning
methods.
5.4.1 Door seals
To clean the door seals, spray recommended cleaner/disinfectant on a microfiber wipe and
thoroughly wipe down the rubber seals for the ReadA door.
5.4.2 External Surfaces
To clean the external surfaces of the ReadA:
1. Vacuum the top of the ReadA. If sides are noticeably dirty, vacuum these surfaces as well.
2. Wipe down all external surfaces with a recommended cleaner/disinfectant.
