8. Place plates removed from the ReadA into a Destacker to have them stored in another
ReadA with the same atmospheric conditions. If no other ReadA is available, store the
plates on a plate cart and place them back into a Destacker after step 19.
9. Select Unlock door [F8] to unlock the incubator door.
10. If applicable, turn off the CO
2
supply.
11. Open the incubator door and place the door guard over the seals of the door.
12. Remove all the racks.
13. Clean the inside of the ReadA and the racks by spraying the recommended
cleaner/disinfectant onto a microfiber wipe and wiping down the inside (top, walls, and
bottom).
14. When cleaning has been completed, replace the racks. Make sure the flat side is up.
CAUTION
Rack positions are not interchangeable. Placing the racks in
incorrect positions can cause plate placement errors resulting in
crushed plates.
15. Push the incubator door guard back to its original position and close the door.
16. If applicable, turn on the CO
2
supply.
17. Select Lock Door [F8].
18. Select Start [F2] to start the application and continue ReadA operation.
19. In the Tools [F7] menu, deselect the Force empty container store (cleaning) and
Disable ProceedA Input options.
20. If any plates removed in step 4 were not sent to another ReadA at that time, place those
plates into a Destacker to be placed back into the clean ReadA.
5.3.2 Protocol B: Cleaning all racks with manual unloading
1. Disable the ReadA input on the day prior to cleaning by selecting Tools [F7] > Disable
ProceedA Input for the specific ReadA to be cleaned.
2. Continue to step 5 if the ReadA is already completely empty.
3. Select Tools [F7] > Deregister all containers (empty ReadA Compact).
4. Select OK to confirm this action.
5. Select Stop [F4].
6. Select Unlock door [F8] to unlock the incubator door.
7. If applicable, turn off the CO
2
supply.
8. Open the incubator door and place the door guard over the seals of the door.
9. Manually remove all plates from the incubator and place them in a Destacker to have them
stored in another ReadA with the same atmospheric conditions. If no other ReadA is
available, store the plates on a plate cart and place them back into a Destacker after
step18.
10. Remove all racks from the ReadA.
