Technical data
2.7 Noise
Working noises are dependent from:
- material
- material thickness
- tool size
- cutting edge geometry.
Measurement according to DIN 45 635 part 1, during full-
load operation of the machine and room sound level of
70 dB(A). Measuring point 0,5 m distance from insertion
site at 1,6 m heigh.
Punch with flat grind:
Ø 20 / sheet thickness 5 mm = 84 dB(A),
Ø 20 / sheet thickness 10 mm = 92 dB(A),
The sound emission values (sound pressure level) at
the workplaces are usually higher than 85 dB(A). You
should, therefore, always wear ear protectors.
Otherwise your hearing may be impaired.
Use punches with Whisper grind, if possible. This
grind type causes lower noise levels than flat grinds.
