Important notes
o Mind the adapters!
Risk of collision of the adapter with the wheels.
Mind the lens clamping adapters for each type of job you are working on.
Two types of “small” adapters are used on the machines: Ø19 mm and Ø17 mm – flat.
The use of the 19mm adapters when the 17mm – flat ones are required will cause a collision of the
adapters with the wheels!
Use the 19mm adapter when the message “Small adapter mounted?” is displayed.
Use the 17mm adapter when the message “Small flat adapter mounted?” is displayed.
Do not open visor while edging, or put your hands inside the edging unit.
If you want to open the visor, refer to paragraph Visor safety below.
o Clamping safety
The following controls make it possible to ensure optimal operator safety.
Rotation of the edging wheels:
The main motor will not start until the visor is closed.
Manual opening of the visor stops the wheel motor. The clamping shafts open half-way.
Clamping:
To clamp the lens you have to hold the key
until the clamping shaft is in contact with
the lens.
If you release this key during closing of the lens clamp shaft, the clamping system opens
automatically.
