Mounting Brocade MLXe-4, -8, or -16 routers in a 4-post rack or cabinet

8. Install the router in the cabinet or rack. The router slides into the rack on top of the mounting
shelf. Secure the router to the rack rails using eight 10-32 screws. Refer to Figure 69 (MLXe-4
slot router shown).

9. Install the transport brackets to the cabinet or rack rails and to the side plates on the router,
using six 10-32 screws. Refer to Figure 70.
The transport brackets provide extra stability, and must be installed if you plan to ship the device
while it is mounted in the cabinet or rack. Before you install the transport brackets, you must first
remove any installed fans.
