If the Active LED is off for an extended period on your Brocade Communications Systems Network Router, first check the Link LED to ensure the link with the remote port is still active. If it isn't, follow the troubleshooting steps for the Link LED. Also, verify that the port hasn't been disabled via a configuration change using the CLI, Web management interface (if an IP address is configured), or Brocade Network Advisor.
