Temperature: The Temperature Offset setting allows the user to create up to 10 temperature
offsetvaluesforconnectedtemperatureprobes.Brookeldoffersseveraltypesof
temperatureprobesforusewiththeDV3Tincluding:DVP-94Yimmersionprobe
(suppliedwiththeDV3T),CPA-44PYZembeddedprobe(optionalwithCone/Plate
DV3TRheometers),andSC4-13RPembeddedprobe(optionalwithSmallSample
Adapter).Anyoftheseprobescanbecalibratedlocallyagainstastandardreference
thermometertodetermineanoffset(howfarfromtheactualtemperaturedoesthe
proberead).ThisoffsetcanbeenteredintotheDV3TRheometerandidentied
withanamedenedbytheuser.
WhenTemperatureisselectedintheDeviceSetupmenu,theTemperatureOffset
menuispresented(seeFigureV-3).Fromthismenuyoucancreatenewoffsetvalues
bypressingtheAddProbeOffsetcommandkeyatthebottomofthescreenand
youcanselectwhichoffsettoutilizewiththeDV3Tbypressingthecirclebeside
thename.InFigureIV-3,theoffsetDVP-94Y3hasbeenselectedasindicatedby
thebluecircle.
