BUFFER LIMIT Setting of PSS buffer acquisition limit
Detail To limit/clear the limit on the acquisition of PSS buffer.
Adj/Set/Operate Method
1) Select the item, and then press OK key.
2) Turn OFF/ON the main power switch.
Caution
The buffer acquisition limit is a setting to assign certain limit on the acquisition of buffer space for
non-active jobs. To secure buffer space for non-active jobs, one has to wait until more than half
the buffer space becomes available. Also, half of the buffer space is always left available for active
jobs until these active jobs are read.
Setting this item to ON clears the above-mentioned buffer acquisition limit and immediately
provides buffer space to non-active jobs as long as there is space available in the buffer.
Setting this item to ON prevents from simultaneously receiving jobs in parallel from multiple ports
(I/F). Make sure to also configure the following settings.
- Enable the job serialization function.
- Configure not to use I/F’s except for the one in use.
- Configure not to use PDL’s except for the one in use.
