Span calibration with external weights
1. Leave the pan with nothing on, in g display mode.
2 Press the [CAL] key once. “E-CAL” will be
displayed.
3 Press the [O/T] key. The zero display will blink.
Stability is confirmed after about 30 seconds and
the value of the weight that should be loaded will
blink.
• For accurate span calibration, input the exact
mass value of your calibration weight according
to instructions in 10.3.5
4 Open the glass door, load the weights of the
amount shown, and close the glass door of the
weighing chamber.
5 After a short time, the zero display will blink.
Remove the weight from the pan and close the
glass door. After “CAL End” appears, the display
returns to g display mode and the calibration is
complete.
Span calibration by external weights is set for
routine calibration by default in CAUY series.
For other methods, see 10. Calibration.
For accurate measurement, perform calibration again when the balance is
moved or when the temperature of the installation site has changed.
Daily calibration before use is recommended.
