5.Neverputyourhandinthequickcouplerorattempttoadjustorrepairthequickcouplerwiththeenginerunning.
Parkingthemachine
Whenparkingthemachine,proceedasfollows:
1.Positionthemachineonat,levelground,awayfromsoftground,excavationsorpoorlyshoredcavities.
2.Placetheupperstructureandtheattachmentinlinewiththeundercarriage,retracttheattachmentanddigthe
bucketintotheground.
3.Stoptheengineandremovethestarterswitchkey.
4.Youmustplacethegatelockleverinthecentralposition(safetybarininwardposition)beforeleavingtheoperator's
compartment.
5.Lockthecabdoor.
6.Makesurethatthehoodsanddoorsareproperlylatched.
7.Checkthatnopartofthemachineisencroachingonthehighway.
Ifthiscannotbeavoided,installthenecessaryregulationsignallingequipment.
Usingthehydraulicbreaker(optional)
Beforeusingthehydraulicbreaker,refertotheoperator'smanualprovidedwiththebreaker.
Serviceandadjustment
1.Carefullyreadtheinformationandinstructionsonsafetyinthismanualandunderstandthemcompletelybefore
servicingonthismachine.
2.Whenservicingthemachine,wearappropriateworkclothes.
Donotwearbaggyclothes.
3.Beforeremovinganyhydraulicline,completelybleedoffthepressurewithinthehydraulicsystem.
Ifpressurizedhydraulicoilleaksout,itmaycauseseriousinjury.
4.Attachthe"OperationProhibited"labelontherightsideconsolebeforestartingservicingonthemachine.
5.Whenusinganytoolthatmaysendmetalpowderying,wearprotectiveeyewear.
Wheninstallingapin,useacopperorothersoftmetalhammer.
6.Servicedefectsandadjustmentdefectsmayleadtoaseriousaccident.
Ifyouareunclearabouttheserviceproceduresoradjustmentprocedures,consultyourCASECONSTRUCTION
dealer.
7.Ifanattachmentisraisedorthemachinemoveswhileunmanned,thiscancauseaseriousaccident.
Dothefollowingworkbeforeservicingonthismachine.
1.Stopthemachineonat,levelground.
2.Lowertheattachmenttotheground.
3.Stoptheengine,thenremovethekeyfromthestarterswitch.
4.Lockthetrackssothatthemachinecannotmove.
8.Unauthorizedalterationstothismachinemayleadtoaseriousaccident.
DonotmakeanyalterationswhatsoevertothismachinewithoutrstconsultingyourCASECONSTRUCTION
dealer.
Changesmadetothismachinemustcomplywithallcurrentlawsandregulationsconcerningsafetyandthetech-
nicalspecicationsofthismachine.
9.Fordesignatedcomponents,typeapprovalisrequired.
