ip local-proxy-arp
To enable the local proxy ARP feature, use the ip local-proxy-arp command. To disable the l ocal proxy
ARP feature, use the no form of this command.
ip local-proxy-arp
no ip local-proxy-arp
Syntax Description This command has no arguments or keywords.
Defaults Local proxy ARP is disabled.

Usage Guidelines Use this feature only on subnets where hosts are intentionally prevented from communicating directly
to the switch on which they are connected.
ICMP redirect is disabled on interfaces where the local proxy ARP feature is enabled.
Examples This example shows how to enable the local proxy ARP feature:
Switch(config-if)# ip local-proxy-arp
