Step 5 Loosen the installation screws on each end of the cable-management bracket and remove the bracket from
the chassis (see the above figure).
Cable Management Bracket—Cisco ASR 9001
The Cisco ASR 9001 Router provides a cable management bracket at the middle of the router chassis. The
following figure shows a typical cable routing for the Cisco ASR 9001 Router.

When shipped, the cable-management bracket is not attached to the router chassis. You must attach the
cable-management bracket to the chassis before you insert the cables into the ports.

Installing a Cable Management Bracket
To install a cable-management bracket, follow these steps:
Procedure
Step 1 Attach an ESD-preventive wrist or ankle strap and follow its instructions for use.
Step 2 Position the cable-management bracket over the front of the chassis front panel.
