4-8 Sending and Retrieving Studies to Virtua
The retrieve request is sent to the DICOM Q/R SCP device.
When the requested studies begin to be received from the Q/R
SCP device, the Studies tab displays automatically. The retrieved
studies are included in the Studies list.
Query Criteria Guidelines
The query criteria include:

Patient Name: the name of a patient, last name first
•
Patient ID: the ID, or medical record number, of a patient
•
Accession Number: the accession number of a study or exam
To search for a particular patient, use the Patient Name or Patient
ID fields, or a combination of those fields. To search for a particular
study, use the Accession Number field.
If entries are made in more than one criteria field, patients or
studies must match the criteria in both fields (not just the entry in
one field or the other).
