and how to solve them.

Problem Possible Causes Solutions
General System
The user interface
responses are slow or
sluggish.
Multiple remote web access sessions
are active.
Jobs are being processed.
A large number of images in the
database might be slowing down the
system.
For faster response, limit the number of
remote web access sessions to two.
Job processing requires substantial
processor and hard drive resources.
Wait for jobs to finish processing.
Reduce the size of the image database
by reducing the maxStudyAge
parameter in the system profile to
delete recorded images sooner. For
more information about this parameter,
refer to Table 3-2 on page 3-16.
The message “Unable to
Connect” or “Recorder
Not Found” is displayed.
The device did not start up properly.
The network settings are incorrect.
Reboot the device. Make sure the
Recorder is powered on and ready (the
button on top of the Recorder is no
longer flashing) before powering on the
Controller.
Remove the SmartDrive, mount it on a
PC, and check whether the network
settings in the file
\profiles\network\network.default.txt
are correct.
Message indicates that
the SmartDrive is not
installed.
The SmartDrive has been removed.
Data stored on the SmartDrive is
missing or corrupt.
Verify that the SmartDrive, located
behind the green output bin, is present
and properly seated in the green funnel.
