Thereisadis advantagewhenusingWindowsCommand‐lineasaTelnetclient.SinceCommand‐
linecannottranslatea‘\r’(i.e.,carriagereturnor“CR”)toa‘\r\n’(i.e.,CR+linefeed“LF”)forthe
messages coming from Telnet Server, any multi ‐line Target‐to‐Controller response (e.g., the
responsetotheFRW?qu
ery)willbedisplayedasoneline,withthelatterlinesoverwritingthe
previouslines.
In order to view the full response messages, Comtech EF Data recommends use of the
HyperTerminalterminalemulationprogram,configuredasaTelnetclient.
