5.2.5 Power Detector
TheHPOD featuresa powerdetectorto monitortheoutput power. It hasauseful rangeof over20 dB,referenced tothe unit’s rated

5.2.6 Most Common Remote Queries
• RMS(RetrieveMaintenanceStatus):Displaysvoltages,fanspeeds,Heatsinktemperature,outputpowermonitorreading,etc.
• RCS(RetrieveConfigurationStatus):Displayscurrentattenuation,mute,amplifi er,online,etc.status.
• RAS(RetrieveAlarmStatus):Displayscurrentalarmorfaultstatus.
5.3 Serial Remote Control Introduction
Serial‐basedRemoteProductManagementoftheHPODisavailableviaitsJ6|COM1port.ThisinterfaceiseitheranEIA‐485multi‐drop
bus (for the control of multiple device s) or an EIA‐232 connecti on (for the control of a single device). The interface transmits data in

5.3.1 EIA-485
Forapplicationswheremultipledevicesaretobemonitoredandcontrolled,full‐duplex(4‐wireplusground)EIA‐485ispreferred.Half‐
duplex (2‐wire plus ground) EIA‐485 is possible, but is not preferred. In full‐duplex EIA‐485 communication, there are two separate,
isolated,independent,differential‐modetwistedpairs,eachhandli
ngserialdataindifferentdirections.
