Directsunlightmaycausepainttofadeorrubberandplasticpartsto
crack. Before storing your bicycle for a long period of time, clean and
lubricateallcomponentsandwaxtheframe.Deflatethetirestohalf
pressure and hang the bicycle off the ground. Charge your batteries and
make sure they are protected from water. Batteries should be charged
every30(LithiumIon)or90(SLA)daystoavoidcapacityloss.Don'tcover
thebicyclewithplasticas"sweating”willresultwhichmaycauserusting.
Pleasenoticethatyourbicyclewarrantydoesnotcoverpaintdamage
(except as outlined in the warranty section of this manual), rust, corrosion,
dry rot or theft.
Itisadvisablethatthefollowingstepsbetakentoprepareforandhelp
prevent possible theft.
1. Maintainarecordofthebicycle’sserialnumber,generally
located on the frame underneath the bottom bracket or on the
head tube.
2. Registerthebicyclewiththelocalpolice.
3. Investinahighqualitybicyclelockthatwillresisthacksaws
andboltcutters.Alwayslockyourbicycletoanimmovable
object if it is left unattended.
