config lldp
Purpose
Used to change the minimum time (delay-interval) any LLDP port will delay advertising
successive LLDP advertisements due to a change in LLDP MIB content. The tx_delay
defines the minimum interval between sending of LLDP messages due to constantly change
of MIB content.
Syntax config lldp tx_delay <sec 1–8192>
Description
The LLDP message_tx_interval (transmit interval) must be greater than or equal to (4 x
tx_delay interval).
Parameters
tx_delay − The range is from 1 second to 8192 seconds. The default setting is 2 seconds.
NOTE: txDelay should be less than or equal to 0.25 * msgTxInterval.
Restrictions
Only Administrator and Operator and Power-User-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To configure the delay interval:
DES-3528:admin# config lldp tx_delay 8
Command: config lldp tx_delay 8
Success.
DES-3528:admin#
config lldp
Purpose
Change the minimum time of the reinitialization delay interval.
Syntax config lldp reinit_delay <sec 1 - 10>
Description
An re-enabled LLDP port will wait for reinit_delay after last disable command before
reinitializing.
Parameters reinit_delay – The range is from 1 second to 10 seconds. The default setting is 2 seconds.
Restrictions
Only Administrator and Operator and Power-User-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To changes the re-initialization delay interval to five seconds:
DES-3528:admin# config lldp reinit_delay 5
Command: config lldp reinit_delay 5
Success.
DES-3528:admin#
config lldp notification _interval
Purpose
Used to configure the timer of the notification interval for sending notification to configured
SNMP trap receiver(s).
Syntax config lldp notification_interval <sec 5 – 3600 >
Description
This command is used to globally change the interval between successive LLDP change
notifications generated by the Switch.
Parameters notification_interval – The range is from 5 seconds to 3600 seconds. The default setting is 5
seconds.
Restrictions
Only Administrator and Operator and Power-User-level users can issue this command.
