5.2 Moisture Prevention
Measures
This section applies to all TT and TG compressors.
The following steps are recommended to prevent
condensate infiltration and stagnation in the
electrical connections. Condensation issues
may become exaggerated in hot and humid
conditions.
1. Isolate the compressor power as described in
the “Electrical Isolation of the Compressor” section
of this manual.
2. Allow time for the compressor to reach ambient
temperature.
3. Remove the Service Side Cover from the
compressor.
4. Remove the I/O Cable, Serial Driver, BMCC, and
PWM from the Backplane Board. Make sure the
board assemblies do not come in contact with
electric or static sources.
Application of Dielectric grease
The dielectric grease can be applied by:
Finger
Small brush
Consumables:
5.2.1 Required Items
Lint-free cloth or clean rags
Soft-bristle brush
Small wire brush
Greaseless lubricant spray
Rust inhibitor spray
Dielectric grease (DTC part # 901982 or
equivalent)
Dielectric grease spray
NOTE
The DTC part # 901982 Dielectric Grease is a natural lanolin-based product which is non-toxic.
