Card Storage
These guidelines apply to both blank card stock and processed cards.
Use cards that are at room temperature. If cards are stored in a cooler environment than the
printer, allow them to reach room temperature before using them.
Stack cards so that they will not shift and rub against each other.
Make sure that the magnetic stripe on one card does not come in contact with the magnetic
stripe on another card.
Make sure that cards with magnetic stripes are stored away from magnetic objects.
Store cards in a cool, dry, and dark place. Excessive light can cause yellowing of cards on
exposed edges.
Store cards in their original packaging.
Cleaning Supplies
For best results, keep additional cleaning supplies on hand.
The following cleaning supplies are available:

Cleaning sleeves 569946-001 Pack of 5 adhesive-coated cleaning

Cleaning swabs 507377-001 Pack of 5 isopropanol-saturated cleaning
swabs for cleaning debris and dust from
the printhead and from hard-to-reach
internal areas of the printer.
Foam fan filter 514267-001 Replacement filter for the rear door fan.
Change the filter at least once a year.
Card Inspection Gloves 510034-001 Pack of 100, powder-free, with no natural
rubber latex.
