Connect Using a Network Cable
1. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to
the network connection port on the printer.
2. Connect the other end to a network port.
3. Refer to the printer’s Driver Guide to set up
the Card Printer Driver to work with the
printer.
Set the Printer Network IP Address
The printer’s IP address is used to access Printer Manager from a browser window.
To display either a USB or network IP address, you can do one of the following:
Press the up or down arrow key on the front panel while the printer displays Ready.
Use the LCD menu system Status menu. Refer to the printer’s User’s Guide for more
information about using the Status menu to display the IP address.
The printer supports both IPv4 and IPv6 addressing. If your network environment uses IPv6, you
may be required to use the LCD Configuration menu to enable the IPv6 settings that manage the
printer communication over an Ethernet network. You do not need to make any configuration
changes to use IPv4.
You also can use Printer Manager to change the communication method and define
printer address information. Refer to “Communication” on page 70.
