Status indicators:
S: E1 Bridge channel synchronized and operating OK.
F: E1 Bridge channel is out of synchronization. Indicates that the physical part of the link is OK,
but that the data received do not correspond to what was expected.
L: Only for Bridge systems directed to E1 channels. Indicates the condition of LOS at the
corresponding E1 G.703 channel.
A: Only for Bridge systems directed to E1 channels. Indicates the condition of AIS at the
corresponding E1 G.703 channel.
- : Indicates that the channel is not being used as a Bridge or that there is no associated
synchronization status.
8.5. Bridge with packet ordainment (Bridge Packet Sequencing)
The Bridge Packet Sequencing enables the sequencing and the fragmentation of transmitted packets on
the Inverse Multiplexing mode, assuring data delivery in a correct order and through an efficient way with
better utilization of E1 channels.
This characteristic only exists in DM16E1/DM4E1 built with Bridge card HW2.
8.6. Different Bridge hardware versions for the DM16E1/DM4E1
equipment
The sequencing packet characteristic is very important for some applications. On that account, a Bridge
card HW2 was developed.
A new hardware version was necessary due to the bridge needs a higher processing power to fragment,
order and mount the packets that pass through E1s, which does not exist in the first card version.
Thus, this item indicates the physics differences amongst two models, besides facilitates the identification
of both versions.
