DM16E1 / DM4E1 Operation and Installation Manual - 204-4001-19 82
9.4.7. Gateway Default Configuration
The menu shown in next screen appears when selecting Router ConfigurationGateway Default.
Gateway default is the host to which the router sends all packets for which there is no known route. This
function is automatically deactivated through the configuration of an invalid IP address: 0.0.0.0.
The field reserved for interface information specifies the router port through which the gateway default is
accessible. Note that it is also necessary to specify DLCI for Frame Relay interfaces. For other interfaces
(Ethernet, WAN1 or WAN2 using PPP), DLCI should remain set to 0 (zero).
Reconfiguration of the gateway default parameter leads to resetting and, consequently, to temporary
interruption of services.
