8.3. System Status LEDs
The DM4000 MPU384 has 9 system status LEDs monitoring CPU utilization, Ethernet outband, system
fails and active MPU status.

LED CONDITION STATUS
ACT MPU ON MPU active.
OFF MPU inactive.
FAIL ON Hardware failure.
OFF Hardware is functional.
CPU UTILIZATION ON 20% utilization.
ON 40% utilization.
ON 60% utilization.
ON 80% utilization.
ON 100% utilization.
100 M ON Indicates a 100Mbps connection in MGMT port.
OFF When Link/Act is on or blinking, indicates that a
10Mbps connection is active in MGMT ETH
port.
Link Act ON/Blinking Indicates a connection in MGMT ETH port.
OFF No connection in MGMT ETH port.
8.4. Console and Ethernet Outband Management Ports
The DM4000 MPU384 contains three RJ-45 connectors on its front panel: one Outband Management
port, one Console port and one AUX console port.
The Outband Management interface can be connected to a desktop through a CAT 5 Ethernet cable.
