Replacing the processor

CAUTION: If either the processor or the heat sink is replaced, use the thermal grease provided in the kit to ensure that
thermal conductivity is achieved.
NOTE: A new processor ships with a thermal pad in the package. In some cases, the processor may ship with the thermal pad
attached to it.

Procedure
1. Slide the processor cover into the processor slot.
2. Press the left-release lever and right-release lever on the processor cover to secure the tab.
3. Place the processor shield.
4. In the order as indicated on the processor shield (1,2,3), tighten the captive screws that secure the processor shield to the system
board.
