Steps
1. Lift the pull tab on the PCIe door outwards to open the PCIe door.
2. Push and hold the tab that secures the serial/parallel port card to the PCIe card connector (SLOT2) on the system board.
3. Gently lift the serial/parallel port card off the PCIe card connector on the system board.
4. Align and slide the PCIe blanking plate in the slot on the chassis.
NOTE: Do not perform this step if you are immediately replacing the serial/parallel port card with a new PCIe card.
5. Close the PCIe door and press it gently until it clicks in place on the chassis.

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
