System board
This is a service technician replaceable part only.
Removing the system board
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working on your system.
3. Remove the following:
CAUTION: Do not lift the system board by holding a memory module, processor, or other components.
a. System cover.
b. Air shroud.
c. Memory modules.
d. Processor.
e. Heatsink.
f. Expansion card riser(if installed).
g. Internal PERC card or Front PERC riser (if installed).
Steps
1. Disconnect all cables from the system board.
2. Loosen and remove the eight screws securing the system board.
3. Hold the system board holder and slide it toward the front of the chassis.
