Installing the front mounting front PERC riser and front PERC
module
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working on your system.
3. Remove air shroud.
4. Remove the expansion card riser (if installed).
Steps
1. Align the front PERC module at an angle until the tray touches the slot in the system.
2. Press the front PERC module connector with the connector on the drive backplane until firmly seated. Press the front PERC
module connector with the connector on the drive backplane until firmly seated.
3. Tighten the thumbscrews on the front PERC module.

4. Insert the front PERC riser into the slot till firmly seated.
5. Install and tighten the screw to secure the riser.
6. Connect the cable to the front PERC module.
NOTE: Route the cable properly when you replace it to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
