400 mm/s
500 mm/s
600 mm/s
Substrate speeds higher than the set value will result in compressed prints and frequent ribbon
breaks. The maximum speed possible in this mode is 800mm/s if using a SmartDate X65
combined printer or 1000mm/s using the SmartDate X65 shuttled version.
High Speed
High Speed mode allows printing speeds to be increased beyond normal maximum printing
speeds but at reduced resolution. The maximum print speed possible depends on the printer
model. For the combined printer it is 1000mm/s and for the shuttled version, 1200mm/s.

The standard resolution of 12 dots/mm (300dpi) is reduced to 8 dots/mm (200dpi) when the
‘High Speed Threshold’ is reached. The threshold at which the print resolution is reduced is
congurable between 100mm/s to 800mm/s.
