Test Print
Press the ‘Test Print’ to make the SmartDate printer produce a test print of the currently selected
job. Use this feature to check any adjustments made have had the required effect.

A print will be produced immediately if the printer is in intermittent mode. In continuous mode the
printer will wait for movement from the encoder to be detected before printing.
Cleaning the Printhead
The printhead should be cleaned at regular intervals. The interval depends on machine use,
operating environment and thermal ribbon type being used. Once per shift or after each ink
ribbon is used is recommended.
Do not use abrasive materials or tools such as screwdrivers or
knives to clean the printhead.
Open the ribbon cassette and allow the printhead
to cool
