3-4. Sensor Check Mode
Turn the jog dial to display “Sensor Check”, and press the jog dial. Turn the jog dial to display the name of the sensor
to be checked. The name will be displayed as shown in the following examples. Also can be checked with the buzzer.
(Example 1) To check the no-paper detection sensor (photointerrupter) of the paper feed tray B
“On” is displayed if there is an obstacle between the light-emitting and light-receiving sections of the
sensor.
(Example 2) To check the paper ejection switch (magnetic proximity switch)
Pushing down the switch lever sets the display to “On”.

“Off” is displayed if there is no obstacle between the light-emitting and light-receiving sections of the
sensor.

3-5. Motor/Solenoid Test Mode
Turn the jog dial to display “Motor Sol. Test”, and press the jog dial. Turn the jog dial to display the name of the motor,
solenoid, or fan to be tested. Press the start button to turn on the motor, solenoid, or fan selected. Press the stop
button to turn them off.
3-6. Changing the Display Language
Turn the jog dial to display “Select Language”, and press the jog dial. Turn the jog dial to select the language to be
used and press the jog dial to confirm the language. To activate this setting, the power needs to be turned off and then
on again.
3-7. Option Setting Mode
Turn the jog dial to display “Option setting”, and press the jog dial. Turn the jog dial to set the option setting to be used.
3-8. B Tray Mode
Turn the jog dial to display “B Tray Mode”, and press the jog dial. Turn the jog dial to select “On” or “Off”.
The “B Tray Mode” performs paper feeding using only the paper feed tray B. First set “B Sheet Set.” to “Yes” and then
set “B Tray Mode” to “On” for this display. When the maintenance menu is exited and the normal standby state is
returned, “Btst” will be displayed on the LCD. Hereafter perform the usual procedure for feeding paper to feed only the
paper in the paper feed tray B.
