4.17 LCD Panel
NOTE: Touch SKU will provide the FRU parts as LCD Module Assembly.
This chapter only for Non-Touch SKU.
NOTE: ICs are fragile. Useextremecare not to apply pressureto the ICs along the
edgesof the LCD module.
NOTE: Disposeof usedLCD Panel (fluorescent (FL) tubes) as required by local
ordinances or regulations.
NOTE: The LCD cable mustbe carefully peeledaway before disconnecting it from the
module.
Removingthe LCD Panel
Removethe LCD Panelaccording to the following proceduresand Figures 4-19 to 4-21.
1. Removetwo Elastic tapeson the hinge, hold the Elastic tapeand put it out parallel
and then stretch it at about 45-degreeangle until tape eliminated asFigure 4-19 show.
2. Follow the Figure 4-20 direction 1 to lift up LCD panel.
3. Carefully tilt the LCD moduletoward you.
4. Turn the LCD upside down. Be sure to place it on a cushioned surface such asafoam
pad.
5. Removethe tapeand LCD cable connector. Then disconnect the LCD cable asFigure
4-21 shown.
