This maintenancemanual describeshow to perform hardware service maintenancefor the
Dynabook PersonalComputer Satellite Pro L50-G /dynabook P*-C*, referred to asSatellite
Pro L50-G /dynabook P*-C* in this manual.
The proceduresdescribed in this manual areintended to help service technicians isolate
faulty Field ReplaceableUnits (FRUs) andreplacethemin the field.

CAUTION: “Caution indicatesthe existenceof a hazardthat could result in property
damage,if the safetyinstruction is not observed.
NOTE: “Note” contains general information that relatesto your safemaintenance
service.
Improper repair of the computer may result in safety hazards.Dynabook requires service
technicians andauthorized dealersor service providers to ensurethe following safety
precautionsare adheredto strictly.
Be sureto fastenscrewssecurely with the right screwdriver. If a screw is not fully
fastened,it could comeloose, creating a dangerof a short circuit, which could cause
overheating, smokeor fire.
If you replace the battery pack or backup battery, be sure to useonly the samemodel
battery or an equivalent battery recommendedby Dynabook. Installation of the wrong
battery can causethe battery to explode.
