2. Set manual mode: Press the MODE soft key and select Manual mode .
Wait until all operations have stopped. Ongoing operations can be stopped under
Menu/Operation/Manual operation.
3. Cut off sample supply on customer side.
4. Close all needle valves at the sample valves of the sample channel switching in the
analyzer (1-/2-channel version) or at the sample valves of the sample channel
switching on the panel (4-/6-channel version).
5. Remove the supply hoses from the push-in connectors on the filters. Smaller
amounts of sample may drip from the filters. Pay attention to liquid-sensitive devices
in the vicinity.
6. Unscrew the lids from the reagent bottles and standard.
7. Seal the reagent bottles and standard with the lids supplied.
8. Dry the ends of the hoses with a clean paper towel.
9. Remove the bottle tray: Lift up the recessed grip slightly and pull it towards the front.
10. Place the hose ends (RK, RK, RN, S) in an empty beaker.
Rinse the system
1. Rinse the system with air: Menu/Operation /Maintenance/Decommissioning/
Empty hoses .
The hoses are automatically rinsed with air and drained. This process takes
several minutes.
2. Rinse the system with water: Immerse all hoses (RK, RK, RN, S) in a beaker with
approx. 500 ml (16.9 fl.oz) of distilled water.
3. Start rinsing: Menu/Operation /Maintenance/Decommissioning/Rinse with
water .
The system is rinsed automatically and drained. This process takes approx. 8
minutes.
4. Once the action is finished, remove the hoses from the beaker and dry them with a
clean paper towel.
5. Place the hose ends in an empty beaker.
6. Rinse the system with air again: Menu/Operation /Maintenance/
Decommissioning/Empty hoses .
The hoses are automatically rinsed with air and drained. This process takes
several minutes.
1-/2-channel device: Drain sample channels
1. Disconnect sample inlet hose SPx from the sample channel switching: Disconnect the
connector nozzle of sample inlet hose SPx from the outlet of the sample channel
switching in the analyzer.
2. Inflate the maintenance dispenser with air.
3. Slide the C-Flex hose of the maintenance dispenser onto the connector nozzle of
sample inlet hose SPx.
4. Drive air through the sample channel.
Any liquid remaining in the sample channel is driven into the cuvette.
5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 until the sample channel is empty.
6. Slide the connector nozzle of sample inlet hose SPx back into the outlet at the sample
channel switching in the analyzer.
