7.2.1 Connecting the signal cables

1. Loosen the securing clamp of the connection compartment cover.
2. Unscrew the connection compartment cover.
3. Push the cable through the cable entry. To ensure tight sealing, do not remove the sealing ring
from the cable entry.
4. Strip the cable.
5. Strip the cable ends 10 mm (0.4 in). For stranded cables, also attach wire end ferrules.
6. Firmly tighten the cable glands.

Connect the cable in accordance with the terminal assignment. For shielded cable
(recommended for HART communication): When connecting the cable shielding to the ground
terminal, observe the grounding concept of the facility. Rigid conductors or flexible conductors
with wire end ferrule can be inserted directly into the terminal without pressing on the wire
release.
