7.3 Ensuring the degree of protection of the measuring
device
The measuring device fulfills all the requirements for the IP 66 and 67 (NEMA 4X) degree of
protection.
To guarantee IP 66 and IP 67 degree of protection (NEMA 4X), carry out the following steps after
the electrical connection:
1. Check that the housing seals of the connection and electronics compartment are fitted neatly
and correctly. Dry, clean or replace the seals if necessary.
2. Tighten all housing screws and screw covers.
3. Firmly tighten the cable glands.
4. So that any moisture that occurs does not reach the entry, before the cable entry, form the
cable into a downward-hanging loop ("water trap").
