Telephone Operating Instructions
To set the hours and minutes:
❖ Lift the handset.
❖ Press the SYSTEM CLOCK button. You hear system dial tone, and the SYSTEM
CLOCK button indicator changes to ACTIVE.
❖ If the system is programmed for a 24-hour clock, dial four digits to set the time. The
first two digits represent the hour, while the second two digits represent the
minutes (for example, 11:15 PM = 2315; 6:45 AM = 0645).
❖ If the system is programmed for a 12-hour clock, dial five digits to set the time. The
first two digits represent the hour, while the second two digits represent the
minutes. The fifth digit is either 1 for AM or 2 for PM (for example, 11:15 AM =
11151; 11:15 PM = 11152).
❖ When you hear system dial tone, hang up. The SYSTEM CLOCK button indicator
changes to IDLE. The clock display is updated on all telephones with a display
module.
To set the YEAR, MONTH, and DATE:
❖ When you hear dial tone after having set the clock, dial two digits for the year.
❖ Dial two digits for the month (for example, 02 = February, 06 = June, 11 =
November).
❖ Dial two digits for the day of the month. The only acceptable day entries are: 01-
29 for February (02), 01-30 for April (04), June (06), September (09), and
November (11), and 01-31 for all other months.
❖ When you hear confirmation tone, hang up. The SYSTEM CLOCK button indicator
changes to IDLE. If the dialed digits are not valid, you hear reorder tone.
To set up a multiparty conference:
❖ While talking to a trunk party or inside party, press the CONFERENCE HOLD
button or TRANSFER HOLD button to put the trunk or extension on hold. The
CONFERENCE HOLD or TRANSFER HOLD button indicator changes to ACTIVE;
the button indicator of the call on hold changes to T-HOLD. You hear second dial
tone.
❖ Dial the number of the next (inside or outside) conference member.
❖ After the party answers, press the CONFERENCE HOLD button to establish the
conference. The trunk or extension button indicator changes to IDLE. If applicable,
the TRANSFER HOLD button indicator also changes to IDLE.
❖ To add another party to the conference, repeat the procedure, using the
CONFERENCE HOLD button to put the conference on hold and to rejoin the
conference with a new conference member.
1.If a called party is busy, does not answer, or does not wish to confer, press
the CANCEL button to release the call and return to the conference.
2.To answer or originate a call during a conference, use the TRANSFER
HOLD button to put the conference on hold.
