Telephone Operating Instructions
To put one or more plans into override mode:
❖ Lift the handset.
❖ Dial the Plan Override access code followed by the digit 1.
❖ When you hear dial tone, dial the number of the plan to be put into override mode.
When you hear dial tone again, dial the number of a second plan, if any, to be put
into override mode. Repeat this procedure to identify all selected plans.
❖ Hang up. The PLAN OVERRIDE button indicator changes to ATTENTION if at
least one plan is in override mode; it changes to ACTIVE if all plans are in override
mode.
To put all plans that are in override mode back in standard mode:
❖ Lift the handset.
❖ Dial the Plan Override access code followed by ✱.
❖ When you hear confirmation tone, hang up.
To take one or more plans out of override mode:
❖ Lift the handset.
❖ Dial the Plan Override access code followed by the digit 0.
❖ When you hear dial tone, dial the number of the plan to be taken out of override
mode. When you hear dial tone again, dial the number of a second plan, if any, to
be taken out of override mode. Repeat this procedure to identify all selected plans.
❖ Hang up. The PLAN OVERRIDE button indicator changes to ATTENTION if at
least one plan is still in override mode; it changes to IDLE if all plans are returned
to normal mode.
To determine the status of a specific routing plan:
❖ Lift the handset.
❖ Dial the Plan Override access code followed by the digit 9.
❖ Listen for system dial tone and then dial the number of the routing plan you want
to check. If the routing plan is in override mode, you hear confirmation tone.
Otherwise you hear reorder tone.
❖ Hang up.
A telephone can be put in the privacy operating mode to protect it from break-in or
override, and to prevent a called or calling outside number to be displayed at a telephone
with a duplicate appearance.
To put a telephone in the privacy operating mode, press the PRIVACY button. The
PRIVACY button indicator changes to BUSY.
To disable privacy and return the telephone to normal operation, press the PRIVACY
button again. The PRIVACY button indicator changes to IDLE.
