Telephone Operating Instructions
To talk to the monitored parties, press the MUSIC/MUTE button. The MUSIC/
MUTE button indicator changes to IDLE.
Hang up when finished. The MONITOR button indicator changes to IDLE.
To turn paging background music on:
Lift the handset.
Dial the Music-On-Page access code.
When you hear system dial tone, dial 1 plus the number of the paging zone or
zones you want to play music. Use 0-7 for individual zones, 8 for zones 0-3, 9 for
zones 4-7, or for all zones.
When you hear confirmation tone, hang up. Music is heard in the specified paging
zones.
To turn paging background music off:
Lift the handset.
Dial the Music-On-Page access code.
When you hear system dial tone, dial 0 plus the number of the paging zone or zones
to turn the music off. Use 0-7 for individual zones, 8 for zones 0-3, 9 for zones 4-7, or
for all zones.
When you hear confirmation tone, hang up.
To answer a night call:
Lift the handset.
Dial the Night Answer access code, followed by the night zone number (0-5).
The call is automatically connected to the answering telephone.
A NIGHT ZONE (NZ0-5) button is used to put a telephone in night transfer mode.
To put your telephone in night transfer mode:
Press a NIGHT ZONE button (0-5).
The NIGHT ZONE button indicator changes to BUSY and the programmed night
transfer message is displayed.
Depending upon trunk programming, incoming trunk calls will either be directed
to a night answer station, or ring the night bell for the associated night answer zone.
