Telephone Operating Instructions
Press the busy DES button. You hear confirmation tone and a conference is
established with the busy extension and any associated station or trunk parties.
The DES button indicator changes from BUSY to ACTIVE. You and all stations and
trunks involved in the call may hear a warning tone followed by interrupted override
tone.
Hang up to exit the conference. The DES button indicator changes to BUSY.
Break-in with a DES button can be done only if allowed by the station's COS
programming.
To override a busy extension using a DES button:
Lift the handset.
Press the busy DES button. You hear busy tone. The DES button indicator
changes to ACTIVE.
Press the OVERRIDE button. The OVERRIDE button indicator changes to BUSY.
You hear confirmation tone and a conference is established with the busy
extension and any associated station or trunk parties. You and all stations and
trunks involved in the call may hear a warning tone, followed by interrupted
override tone.
Hang up to exit the conference. The DES button indicator changes to BUSY.
To exit the override mode, press the OVERRIDE button. The OVERRIDE button
indicator changes to IDLE.
For use of the DES button in a message center application, refer to MESSAGE SEND/
MESSAGE RETRIEVE.
In the direct ring prime operating mode, the system will treat any call from your telephone
as a direct ring prime call. Your telephone must have a DIRECT RING PRIME button to
operate in this mode. Alternatively, your telephone can be programmed to enable direct
ring prime as needed.
To put your telephone in the direct ring prime operating mode using the feature button:
Press the DIRECT RING PRIME button.
The DIRECT RING PRIME button indicator changes to BUSY.
To return your telephone to the normal operating mode using the feature button:
Press the busy DIRECT RING PRIME button.
The DIRECT RING PRIME button indicator changes to IDLE.
To put a telephone in the direct ring prime operating mode using the the dial access code:
Lift the handset.
Dial the Direct Ring Prime access code. The EXT button indicator changes to
ACTIVE. The DIRECT RING PRIME button indicator changes to BUSY. You hear
system dial tone.
To terminate the call, hang up. The EXT button indicator changes to IDLE; the
DIRECT RING PRIME button indicator continues to indicate BUSY. The telephone
remains in the direct ring prime operating mode.
