NOTE:
Before clearing the protection counters, be sure to replace the
waste ink pads with new ones. Otherwise, the user may encounter
ink leakage.
10. Disconnect the printer from the PC and replace the waste ink pads
with new ones, referring to Chapter 6 “Maintenance”.
11. Referring to Section 5.2.1, perform the preliminary operation. Then
select “Maintenance items” from the main adjustment menu and
next “Protection counter”.
12. Select “Clear the Protection Counter Value”.
13. Click “OK”.
14. The following screen appears.

17. Click “Previous” to return to the initial protection counter screen
(Figure 5-21).
18. Select “Check Protection Counter” to verify the right and left ink pad
counter values are both “0”.
