Auxiliary Heater Control
The eSID3 can remotely start the auxiliary heater using the remote control. It is activated using a long
press (more than 6 seconds) on Button #3 or Button #4.
It is recommended to disable Panic
Alarm in a workshop and use Follow-
me-home/Panic alarm button #3
when using this function. On Wagons
it is however possible to use Button
#4, and then press “Lock” when the
heater has started. This is not possible
on Sedan/Convertible as the trunk
jumps up on trunk open command.
When the sequence is activated:
1 Quick double blink on the turn indicators to show that the sequence has been received (let
go of the remote button)
2 Some seconds later, a one long blink to indicate that the auxiliary heater has started
3 One very quick blink every minute while running
The heater will continue running until the timer has elapsed (default 30min, configurable in eSID
Settings) or if the user presses the ”Unlock” button, then it will terminate immediately.
Comfort Mirrors
On vehicles with foldable mirrors, eSID3 can fold/unfold them when the car is locked and unlocked. It
is configurable in eSID Settings if the mirrors shall be folded on short press on Lock button #1 or long
press. This is for instance useful if the mirrors only shall be folded at work but not at home or similar.
The mirrors will fold if the following conditions are fulfilled:
All doors are closed
Vehicle is locked with Remote button #1 (single or long press depending on configuration).
eSID3 has learned the mirror position (mirrors must have been folded/unfolded once
manually after eSID3 has been inserted)
The mirrors will unfold if the following conditions are fulfilled:
Vehicle is unlocked with Remote (single press) on button #2.
Mirrors was folded by eSID3 (i.e. not manually using the switch on the driver door)
