1. Press“*”keyonthekeypadandinput8digitsARMpassword,thenpress“#”keytoarm/disarm
thesystem.
2. If the system is in disarmed mode (the yellow LED is OFF), press“#” to arm the system. The
systemwillenterthearmdelayperiod(theyellowLEDwillslowlyflash).
Ifthesystemisinarmedmode(theyellowLEDisON)orinthearmdelayperiod(theyellowLED
is flashing slowly), press “#” to disarm the system. Then the system will enter the disarmed
mode(theyellowLEDwillbeoff).
3. Inanysystemmode,
press“*”toexitthearmoperation.Ifnokeyispressedfor20seconds,the
readerwillautomaticallylogoutofthearmoperationmode.
5.12.5Arm/DisarmtheSystemusingaLCDReader
New model of readers, ERL‐871 in EverAccess series was released to provide a more intuitive user
interface to interact with the system. ERL‐871 provides a large LCD to show more information from
controller.
Thestepstoarm/disarmsystemwithERL‐871areexplainedbelow:
1. Press“*”onkeypad,
input8digitsARMpasswordandpress“#”toconfirm.
2. After entered the ARM menu, press “#” key to arm/disarm the system. Press “*” to exit the
system.
5.13UseReaderasKeypad
Accesscontrolsystemprovidesakeypadtocontroladoorandapproveordenyanaccessrequest.NAV
Controllerprovidesthesamefunctionwiththecorrectsetting.
TousePINonlytoaccessadoor,setthedoorverificationmodeas“CardorPINorfingerprint”,andset
thekeypadreader
withtheenabledkeypadproperty.Whenthesesettingareallconfiguredright,users
cankeyinthevalidcardPINatthekeypadreaderandpress#togaintheaccess.IfthePINmatchesthe
recordsinthesystemandthedoorverificationmodeallows,thecontrollerwillunlock
thedoor.
Take the operation on ERL871 LCD keypad reader as example, the steps to use PIN onlyto access are
listedbelow:
