Poor print quality?
Small blemishes on the card
l The card surface may be dirty.
Check that your cards are perfectly clean.
Use new cards.
Avoid using the printer in locations with excessive dust or dirt.
l Transportation rollers.
Use a cleaning card to clean the transportation rollers.
See section on how to clean transportation rollers page 34
Horizontal white lines
l The ribbon is not correctly tted.
Check that the ink ribbon and the Transfer lm are correctly positioned in the printer.
Check that there are no wrinkles on the ink ribbon and on the Transfer lm surfaces.
l Print head dirty or damaged.
Clean the print head.
Blurred image
l The ink ribbon or the Transfer lm is not correctly tted.
Check that the ink ribbon and the Transfer lm are correctly positioned in the printer.
Check that there are no wrinkles on the ink ribbon and Transfer lm surfaces.
l Poor ribbon synchronisation.
Open and close the front cover to synchronise the ribbon.
l Dirty printer or cleaning rollers.
l Use of incompatible cards.
Check that the cards used match the specications.
We recommend that you obtain your cards from an Evolis reseller.
Use of cards obtained elsewhere is liable to adversely affect print quality and/or damage the print head.
If problems persist, please contact your Evolis reseller.
