SAFE OPERATION

WARNING : If any P-Code appears on the
instrument cluster do not operate the tractor and
contact the authorised farmtrac dealer.
WARNING : If Engine protect lamp , DPF
inhibit switch indication blinks along with buzzer
sound donot operate the tractor and consult your
authorized dealer.
1. Do not leave the engine on idle condition for
longer duration of time. It may lead to soot build up
in the DPF.
2. Do not start the Tractor when there is any P-Code
on cluster.
3. Do not Try to jump start the vehicle.
4. Do not unplug any sensor when ECU is in ON
state.
5. Do not unplug battery terminal or cut-off battery
power when ECU is in ON State.
6. Don’t try to crank the engine when driver is not on
seat, any gear is engaged or clutch not pressed.
7. Do not operate the tractor beyond 1460 ERPM
while working with 540E pto Do not operate the
tractor beyond 2000 ERPM while working with
540 PTO
WARNING : Tampering with the engine voids the
EU type-approval of that particular engine.
2.4. Driving The Tractor
1. Always drive the tractor with care and at speeds
compatible with safety, especially when operating
over rough ground, crossing ditches or slopes or
turning to avoid overturning of tractor.
2. Never allow the tractor to over-run when going
downhill, particularly with trailed equipment
attached. Keep the tractor in one same gear when
going downhill as used when going uphill. Use
extreme caution while operating on steep slopes
and use a low gear to maintain control with
minimum braking.
3. Lock the foot brakes pedals together when
traveling on the highway.
4. When operating in the field, unlock the brake
pedals.
5. Reduce speed before turning or applying the
brakes. Apply brakes on both wheels simultaneously
when making an emergency stop.
6. Do not engage the differential lock while turning.

5. Check there should not be any gears engaged till
tractor is not started.
6. Always cut-off the Battery power supply using kill
switch when vehicle is not in Use.
7. Before starting and stopping the tractor, run
engine at idle RPM for approx 1 min.
8. Engage clutch pedal lock when tractor is not in use
for long period of time or during storage of tractor.
9. While using the tractor after a long time Insert the
key, turn it on & crank the engine 3-4 times to
start the engine normally even if it starts at the rst
crank. This exercise is done to fully lubricate the
turbo-charger.
10. Ensure leak proof joint clamps are properly
tightened.
11. Ensure that engine maintenance intervals are
adhered as per lubrication & maintenance chart
.Check engine oil level daily. Oil level between
"Add" & "Max" is safe. Top up oil level if oil level is
close to "Add" mark.
12. Grease all greasing point every 50 hrs. or daily.
For puddling operation grease daily.
13. Use a piece of cardboard or paper to search for
leaks.
14. Stop the engine and relieve pressure before
connecting or disconnecting hydraulic or fuel
lines.
15. Tighten all connections before starting the engine
or pressurizing lines.
16. If uid is injected into the skin obtain medical
attention immediately or gangrene may result. 17.
The cooling system operates under pressure
which is controlled by the radiator cap. It is
dangerous to remove the cap while the system is
hot. Allow the engine to cool, then turn the cap
slowly to the rst stop and allow the pressure to
escape before removing the cap entirely.
18. Continuous long term contact with used engine oil
may cause skin cancer. Avoid prolonged contact
with used engine oil. Wash skin promptly with
soap and water.
19. Do not run the tractor engine in a closed building
without adequate ventilation as exhaust fumes
may suffocate you.
20 Do not modify or alter or permit anyone else to
modify or alter the tractor or any of its components
or any tractor function without rst consulting your
Authorised Dealer.
21. Tractor wheels are heavy. Handle them with care
and ensure that, when stored, they cannot topple
and cause injury.
Don'ts
If any faulty system or fault in the system a P-
Code will be displayed on the instrument cluster
as shown in figure below for reference. The cause
and remedies of the P-Codes is mentioned in the
trouble shooting chart.
