This section gives full details of the service procedures necessary to maintain your tractor at peak efficiency
while the lubrication and maintenance chart on page 3 provides a ready reference to these requirements.
In addition to the regular service operations listed, the following items should be checked every 10
hours or daily during the first 50 hours of operation:
1. Engine oil level 2. Power steering oil level
3. Transmission oil level 4. Rear wheel nuts for tightness
5. Coolant in the radiator to be added 6. Front axle Oil (4WD)
At the first 50 hour service, ensure that the following additional service operations are carried out:
1. Change engine oil & filter.
2. Change hydraulic oil filter.
3. Clean, inspect and grease front wheel bearings, pivots regularly. Lubricate daily if used in wet condition.
4. Check and adjust brakes, clutch.
5. Check torque of front end weight clamp bolts.
6. Lubricate all grease points & pivots. Lubricate regularly for wet land conditions.
NOTE: Ensure that the tractor is on level ground and that all rams are extended, where applicable, before
checking oil levels.
To prevent contamination when changing oils, filters etc., always clean the area around the filter, level plugs,
drain plugs, dipsticks and filters. Before connecting remote cylinders, ensure that oil contained within them is
clean, has not degenerated due to long storage and is of the correct grade.
Ÿ Work outdoor or in a well ventilated area.
Ÿ Dust found on the tractor or produced during work on the tractor should be removed by extraction and not by
blowing. Dust waste should be dampened, placed in a sealed container and marked to ensure safe disposal.
Ÿ If any cutting, drilling, etc., is attempted on materials containing asbestos, the item should be dampened and
only hand tools or low speed power tools should be used.
Ÿ Do not put any part of your body under the tractor or start the engine while the tractor is on the jack.
Ÿ Never hit a tire or rim with a hammer.
Ÿ Ensure the rim is clean and free of rust or damage. Do not weld, braze, otherwise repair or use a damaged
rim.
Ÿ Do not inflate a tire unless the rim is mounted on the tractor or is secured so that it will not move if the tire or
rim should suddenly fail.
