Please note
As from STEP7 V4.02, device data bases are stored within
the STEP7 project (station device data bases). This can
give the impression that the updating/loading of new de-
vice data bases is incorrect. Please inform yourself about
hand-ling the station device data bases in the STEP 7 help.
Symbols 2. In order to simplify configuration, there are Bitmap files on
the CD ROM with symbols of the valve terminals. Copy the
Bitmap into directory \STEP7\S7DATA\NSBMP on your
programmer/PC.

The device data base can either
S be copied manually into the above named directory
(e.g. via Windows Explorer) or
S loaded via menu item “Extras”“Install new device
data base, file type “Bitmap” in Hardware Config.
3. Process the mask “Properties of the DP master”
– Bus profile
– Baud rate
4. Activate the DP master in the rack.
Further information (directories, etc.) can be found in the file
“readme” in the main directory of the CD ROM.
